Traci Jennings is an experienced Dog Obedience Instructor and Pet Sitter, based in Modesto, CA.

Since 2001, Traci has owned mutt-minders, a premium pet care service. Traci is bonded and insured and many clients trust her to care for their animals and homes when they are away. Traci is experienced in all forms of pet care including reptiles, birds, farm animals, and special needs dogs and cats. Traci is currently owned by a pack of Shar Pei, a Sulcata tortoise, a fancy rat and a very mean cat.

Through mutt-minders, Traci has provided free orientation and obedience training to hundreds of shelter dogs adopted through Stanislaus County Animal Services. She started this program in an effort to reduce the number of dogs returned to the shelter. Behavior problems are typically one of the most common reasons for shelter returns. Additionally, Traci has worked with Stanislaus County Animal Services to develop temperament testing protocols in addition to the currently used SAFER Test.

Traci is also a long-time volunteer with California Shar Pei Rescue.
California Shar Pei Rescue is a non-profit breed rescue committed to finding permanent homes for unwanted Shar Pei. Traci provides behavior consultation, by phone, or in person with adopters of Shar Pei Rescue dogs. She also provides foster, training, rescue and transportation services.

Through the Internet, Traci gives online behavior advice to persons around the country via referrals.

Additionally, Traci provides behavioral counseling and obedience training to numerous private clients. Traci also teaches classes through Modesto Junior College’s Community Education Program and at various parks throughout the city of Modesto.
